Installation
Follow the installation guide in the n8n community nodes documentation and install @limetech/n8n-nodes-lime-forms.
Operations
Lime CRM Forms Trigger
Starts a workflow when a monitored Lime Forms form receives a submission. The trigger registers a webhook in Lime Forms, verifies the HMAC signature of every delivery with the webhook secret configured in the credential.
Lime CRM Forms
- Receipt: get the receipt PDF for a submission, either the submission receipt or the signing receipt. Requires Lime CRM Forms 3.x or later.
Credentials
Create a Lime CRM Forms API credential with:
| Field | Description |
| ———- | ——————————————————————————— |
| Server URL | The URL of your Lime Forms instance, e.g. https://instance.lime-forms.com |
| API Key | API key generated in Lime Forms (available in the Lime Forms admin settings page) |
Requests are authenticated with an Authorization: Bearer header, which n8n adds automatically. The credential is verified against the /api/v1/external-integrations/ping endpoint of your instance when you save it.
To use the trigger, also set the optional Webhook Secret in the credential; Lime Forms signs deliveries with it. Use a strong value, e.g. generated with openssl rand -hex 32.
Compatibility
Requires n8n with n8n-workflow 2.9 or later. Node.js 24 is used for local development.
Usage
Lime CRM Forms Trigger: start a workflow when a form is submitted
1. Add a Lime CRM Forms Trigger node and select your Lime CRM Forms API credential. The credential must have a Webhook Secret.
2. Enter a Trigger Name (for example my-lime-webhook) and pick the form under Form to Monitor.
3. Activate the workflow. The node registers a webhook for that form and removes it again when the workflow is deactivated.
Each submission becomes one item with a fixed top-level shape: slug, createdAt, form (id, name, description, locale, tags) and data, a map of the submitted fields keyed by field name. Each entry in data is { type, name, label, value }:
{
"slug": "k3j9x2",
"createdAt": "2026-09-30T10:00:00.000000Z",
"form": {
"id": 1,
"name": "Contact us",
"description": null,
"locale": "en",
"tags": ["website"]
},
"data": {
"email": {
"type": "EmailField",
"name": "email",
"label": "Email",
"value": { "email": "jane@example.com" }
},
"topics": {
"type": "CheckboxField",
"name": "topics",
"label": "Topics",
"value": { "option": ["sales", "support"] }
},
"attachment": {
"type": "FileUploadField",
"name": "attachment",
"label": "Attachment",
"value": { "file": [{ "link": "https://...", "name": "cv", "ext": ".pdf" }] }
}
}
}
The key inside value depends on the field type:
| Value key | Field types |
| ———————————————————————- | ——————————————————————————————————————————— |
| text | TextField, TextAreaField, HiddenField, AddressField, CoordinatesField, HttpSearchField, HttpSearchFieldAutocomplete |
| email | EmailField |
| numeric | NumericField |
| date (YYYY-MM-DD) | DateField |
| time (HH:mm) | TimeField |
| option (array) | SelectField, RadioButtonField, CheckboxField |
| file (array of { link, name, ext }; links expire after 30 minutes) | FileUploadField |
| repeater | RepeaterField |
Reference a field in later nodes as {{ $json.data., for example {{ $json.data.email.value.email }}.
Lime CRM Forms: download the receipt for a submission
1. Add a Lime CRM Forms node and select your Lime CRM Forms API credential.
2. Set Resource to Receipt and Operation to Get.
3. Enter the Submission Slug of the submission, for example from a previous node’s output.
4. Set Receipt Type to Submission (the submitted form data) or Signing (the signing receipt).
The node outputs one item per input item with the PDF in the binary property data, ready for a Write Binary File, Send Email or similar node. Requires Lime CRM Forms 3.x or later.
